A Father’s Wisdom to His Beautiful Daughter

category

My beautiful daughter, you’ve grown wings to fly,
Into a world of wonder, where love and dreams reside,
You now get into women’s quarrels, with your mother so dear,
A sign of independence, and a heart that’s clear.

I remember the night, your mother and I first met,
The sparks flew high, and our love was set,
She quarreled with her mother, on that fateful night,
When I kept her out late, under the stars’ soft light.

You love with your body, soul, and spirit so bright,
Just like your mother, with a passion that ignites,
In as much as I’d want to say, “Roam wild and free with me”,
To explore the city, and all its glee,

I’ll tell you otherwise, my dear, for I know the score,
Boys and men are hunters, with hearts that roar,
Be careful, my daughter, for that boy driving you crazy,
Is doing a good job, of making your heart feel hazy.

He’s helped you unlearn, most of the morals we instilled,
A normal part of growing, and love’s sweet thrill,
I did the same to your mother, in my youthful days,
But now, as a father, I’ll offer you different ways.

Stay safe, my beautiful daughter, and stake what you can afford,
In the gamble of love, where hearts are often scarred,
Be wise, and don’t rush, into the arms of desire,
For true love waits, and will set your soul on fire.

In all, my dear, remember, I’m here to guide,
Through the ups and downs, of love’s joyride,
Stay true to yourself, and don’t compromise your heart,
For you are a queen, and deserve a love that will never depart.
