Dear God of Nollywood, oh mighty one,
Who blesses characters, and makes their fortunes won,
Within three months, they rise from grass to grace,
From village life to Lagos’ bustling pace.
I know I’m not in a movie, no script to guide,
But I pray you’ll hear my plea, and be my guide,
Like the characters you favor, I too desire,
To rise above my struggles, and reach higher.
Grant me success, like the actors on the screen,
Let my life be a blockbuster, with joy unseen,
From poverty to wealth, from struggles to ease,
Answer my prayer, oh Nollywood God, if you please.
Though I’m not in a film, I trust in your might,
To bless me too, and make my life a delight,
So hear my prayer, and grant me your grace,
And make my life a Nollywood-style success story, in this place.
