In a room full of learning, where minds are awake,
One small student slumbers, for dreams’ sake,
Head on desk, arms limp, lost in a haze,
A tiny soul, in a peaceful daze.
The teacher’s words, a gentle hum,
A lullaby, that’s barely heard, nor succumbed,
The child’s eyelids, heavy as stone,
As they drift away, to a world unknown.
Their breathing slow, their chest rises high,
As they chase dreams, in a sleepy sigh,
Their mind afar, in a fantastical land,
Where imagination, takes their hand.
In this quiet moment, they find their peace,
A refuge from the world’s noise and release,
Their dreams are vivid, their rest is deep,
As they recharge, their spirit to keep.
Though they may miss, a lesson or two,
Their heart and mind, are learning anew,
For in dreams, they find, a secret place,
Where wisdom and wonder, fill their face.
