1. FSV Mainz 05 has signed the Austrian U21 international Nikolas Veratschnig. The 21-year-old, who is at home on the right wing, is moving from the Austrian Bundesliga club Wolfsberger AC, for whom he has already played 76 competitive matches, to the Rhine and has signed a four-year contract with FSV until 2028. The clubs have agreed not to disclose the terms of the transfer.
“Nikolas Veratschnig is an extremely dynamic winger who gives our squad an additional exciting facet with his speed. His performances in Austria have made him a sought-after player, and we see great development potential in him. We are delighted that he wants to take these next steps at Mainz 05,” says sporting director Christian Heidel .
