The agreement is for one season plus another optional one
Manolo González and RCD #Espanyol have reached an agreement for the Galician coach to remain in charge of the white-and-blue first team for the 2024-25 season plus another optional one. Manolo González, therefore, will be the coach of RCD Espanyol when they return to the First Division.
The Galician #coach reaches the highest category of Spanish football at the age of 45 and after a long career as a coach in different categories.
Manolo González took charge of the Spanish first team in March replacing Luis Miguel Ramis. The coach made his debut with a victory against Real Zaragoza (0-1). In total, Manolo González has managed 16 games with a record of 6 wins, 9 draws and 1 loss. The white-and-blue team has scored 15 goals and only conceded 7.
With Manolo González, the team certified promotion to the First Division in the play-off against Real Oviedo.
