My wife, my beautiful hurtful wife

category

In your eyes, lies the magic,
A sparkle that draws me in, like a tragic,
Each second I gaze, I’m lost in their sea,
But alas, your words, they hurt me, cruelly.

Your beauty is a gift, a treasure to behold,
A radiance that shines, like a story yet untold,
But your words, they cut deep, like a knife in the dark,
Leaving scars that ache, and a heart that’s embark.

Oh, how I wish, you could see the pain,
Your words inflict, like a summer rain,
That washes away, the love I hold dear,
Leaving me dry, and tears that appear.

Yet still, I’m drawn, to those eyes so bright,
Like a moth to flame, in the dark of night,
For in their depths, I see a love so true,
But your words, they betray, the beauty shining through.

My wife, my love, my heart, my everything,
Why must your words, be the dagger that stings?
