The woman in red – A romantic poem

category

Across the bustling streets of New York’s embrace,
A vision of beauty caught my gaze, a radiant grace.
In red, you shone like a beacon bright and bold,
Your smile, a sunrise that my heart could never grow old.

Like the morning sun, your lips curved wide and bright,
Illuminating all, banishing the night’s dark light.
Your eyes, like sapphires, sparkled with a gentle fire,
Melting my soul, leaving me forever lost in your desire.

Oh, how I long to cross the street, to reach your door,
To tell you how your beauty leaves me forever poor.
In words, in breath, in heart, in every single way,
I am forever yours, my love, my sun-kissed day.

So let me bask in the warmth of your lovely rays,
Let me drown in the depths of your enchanting gaze.
For in your smile, my heart finds a home so true,
Forever and always, my love, my heart belongs to you.
