Water, oh water, so calm and so deep,
A source of joy, where memories we keep.
Beaches and rivers, a treasure to see,
A place for adventure, for you and me.
But beneath the surface, a danger does lie,
A threat to our safety, as the currents go by.
No matter how strong, or how brave we may be,
Water’s power can overwhelm, wild and carefree.
So let’s respect its might, and take heed of its roar,
And wear our life jackets, forevermore.
For love of the water, doesn’t mean we should play,
Without caution and safety, every single day.
Life jackets save lives, don’t let pride get in the way,
For a day on the water, can quickly turn to disarray.
So gear up, and suit up, and enjoy the ride,
With safety and wisdom, side by side.
Water is life, water is fun,
But safety always comes first, everyone!
