A sense of freedom, in the golden light

category

Little feet bare, on sandy ground

    Laughter echoes, joy unbound

A makeshift pitch, where dreams unfold

Children playing soccer, young and bold

In Africa’s heart, where sunbeams bright

Hope and joy, in every kick and flight

No fancy fields, no polished floor

Just the love of the game, and so much more

With every step, a story’s told

Of resilience, of hearts made of gold

Their smiles shine bright, like the morning dew

As they chase their dreams, with a passion anew

In this sandy pitch, they find their delight

A sense of freedom, in the golden light

Their laughter and shouts, a symphony so sweet

As they play the beautiful game, with bare feet

May their joy be contagious, may their hearts stay light

May their love for soccer, guide them through life’s plight.
