28mins – GOAL RULED OUT – Portugal vs Czechia
After an outswinging cross from the right is headed down and against the post by Cristiano #Ronaldo, substitute Diogo Jota reacts first. He clinically sweeps the ball into the net and starts to celebrate. His joy is soon cut short though, as the VAR quickly rules that Ronaldo was marginally offside! Czechia breathe again!
NO GOAL! OFFSIDE! – Turkiye vs Georgia
The score remains 1-0 to Turkiye. Yet another quick decision by the VAR team.
Turkiye had lead 2-0! Guler played a pass across the face of the goal and Yildiz taped the ball for Turkiye’s second! Before #VAR checked for offside, however!

Twice ruled out – Belgium vs Slovakia
56 mins BALL IN THE NET!!! Belgium think they’re back on level terms but Lukaku is denied by millimetres!! Trossard’s cross from a short corner is headed back across the face by Onana and turned goalwards by Lukaku from right in front, but he’s offside by a shoulder and the goal is chalked off just as Slovakia are preparing to kick off!
88 mins NO GOAL!!!! Belgium and Lukaku have a second goal chalked off due to VAR picking up on the smallest, most fractional of handballs from Openda in the build-up, and although the impact is minimal, by the letter of the law it’s an offence and no goal, meaning Slovakia still lead 1-0!
