In Malawi, #Infantino Gianni expressed his deepest condolences on behalf of the football family to the widow of the late Dr Saulos Klaus Chilima, Mary Chilima, to the President of #Malawi, Lazarus Chakwera, and to the Malawian people following the tragic passing of the Vice President.
Often in difficult times, we look for occasions to unite and stand together as one. Football can play this role in society, so it was important for Infantino to be there. Dr Chilima did so much for football in Malawi, and we hope it is of some comfort that his legacy will live on in stadiums and on pitches around this wonderful country as well as in the work we will continue to do here.
