From Footsteps to Fortune

category

I’ve walked the streets of Lagos, from village to town,
Covered miles on foot, with no car to be found,
I know every nook, every corner, every bend,
My feet have taken me, where few have ventured to tread.

But now, I stand amidst, a fleet of luxury and might,
Bugatti, Ferrari, shining bright, in the light,
My collection’s envy, of many a man’s desire,
But few know the journey, that brought me to this fire.

I’ve walked through struggles, through trials and strife,
But never let my circumstances, dictate my life,
I rose above the ashes, like a phoenix born anew,
And now my wealth’s a testament, to the strength I hold true.

Don’t ask me about my source, of this opulent display,
For no one asked me, about my days of disarray,
When poverty’s dark shadow, loomed over me like a thief,
And stole my dignity, leaving me with nothing to believe.

But I rose above it all, like a warrior’s mighty cry,
And turned my fortunes around, with a determination to fly,
So let my cars be a symbol, of the strength I’ve found,
And the journey I’ve taken, from footprints to renown.

      Rich man
