As a renowned medical professional, Prof. Azubuike brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role as CMD of the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia. Prior to his current appointment, he served as a senior lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, and as a consultant special grade I at the Alex Ekwueme Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki. He was elevated to the rank of Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, in April 2021.
Prof. Azubuike’s impressive credentials extend beyond his medical practice. He is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Body of Examiners of the West African College of Surgeons, Faculty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and is currently the Assistant Secretary-General of the Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Nigeria (SOGON). With over 51 journal articles published in reputable international and local journals, Prof. Azubuike is also an Associate Editor of the Journal of Basic and Clinical Reproductive Sciences.
