Positive news for Werder Bremen shortly before the start of the European Championship: The Green-Whites’ management has agreed with attacker Justin Njinmah on the early #extension of his contract. Clemens Fritz, head of professional football at SVW, announced this on Thursday.
“Justin has developed very well in his first professional year with us,” says Fritz. “Unfortunately, he had to take a longer break at the end of the season due to illness and injury. But we are sure that he will start the new season full of energy. We don’t think he has reached the end of his development yet and he still has a lot of potential.”
#Justin Njinmah played 26 games for Werder Bremen last season, scoring six goals. He also provided assists for two more goals. In 2021, the 23-year-old joined #Werder’s U23 team from #Holstein #Kiel before being loaned to Borussia #Dortmund’s U23 team for 18 months at the beginning of 2022. He then returned to the Werder pros in the summer of 2023.
