Another decision has been made for the future at #VfB : Atakan #Karazor is staying loyal to the club from Cannstatt and is extending his #contract, which was originally valid until 2026, by a further two years until June 30, 2028. The 27-year-old has been wearing the jersey with the red chest ring since summer 2019, making him one of the longest-serving professionals in the current VfB squad.
Since his #debut season at VfB, which ended with a return to the Bundesliga, Atakan Karazor has developed into a reliable constant in the central defensive area. The player with the number 16 shirt has played 141 competitive games – 105 of them in the Bundesliga, 23 in the 2. Bundesliga (two goals), eleven in the DFB Cup and two in the relegation round. In the 2023/2024 season that has just ended, he only missed one game due to a yellow card suspension and played 33 #Bundesliga games and all four DFB Cup matches. He was in the starting eleven 35 times in these 37 matches.
