The VfL licensed players will begin training for the 2024/25 season next week. The first two days will be dedicated to internal performance tests, meaning the team will present itself to the public for the first time on Wednesday, July 3. Training begins at 10 a.m. on the athletics field at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion.
Three days later, on July 6, the first test match will take place. VfL Bochum 1848 will be guests of the top division team Rot Weiss Ahlen, kick-off in the Wersestadion is at 2 p.m. There are still guest tickets available for VfL’s test match opening, which can be obtained from the hosts’ online ticket shop at https://ticket.rwahlen.de . Prices range from ten euros for a standing ticket to 15 euros for a seat, with discounts ranging from six to eleven euros depending on the seat category. Special rates of three or five euros apply for children.
